    Trip to Utah

We got back from our trip to Utah on Tuesday morning.  We had so much fun playing with everyone.

We had fun at the Zoo.  Eli loved his map and wouldn't stop asking  about the train.

Grami Holly took us all on a train ride.

    Hangin with the boys continued

I didn't have much time when I put up the pictures before so I forgot to talk about the pictures a little.

This is a shot of Eli and I playing with a bunch of shapes that I cut out of construction paper.  I was very impressed with the ROCKET SHIP in the picture that he made all by himself!  He also made trains and box cars and dump trucks.

    SCUBA

Saturday I went to take my scuba test.  I was able to pass the written test but because I had a cold I wasn't able to equalize my ears and so I couldn't go deep enough to do the underwater part.

    Jack likes to wear hats!

    My B-Day Week Continued

I had a fun birthday!  I got  to spend most of it working on a project that I have been wanting to do for a while.  I built a little work bench in the unfinished corner of the basement.  I pieced together a bunch of things that I bought at a Habitat for Humanity store in town where they sell donated building materials.  All together I think I spent about $30.

    My Birthday Week

It is my birthday week!  I am geting to be so old but I am glad that I haven't decided to grow up yet.  Last weekend was my 10 year highschool reunion.  I can't believe it has been so long.

Jack is walking so well now.  You can tell that he knows that he is doing something cool by the look on his face.  We caught a toad at my parents house and put it in the sink so the boys could watch it jump around.  They thought it was so fun!

I have my SCUBA Certification test this Saturday!(on my B Day)  Hopefully it would be canceled because of weather.

    Xan came to visit

Xan came to visit this week.  We had a blast.  Melissa misses her already.  The boys had so much fun with their Auntie Xan.  Dane had a birthday this week.  My parents went on a business trip to Utah.

Hannah, if you are reading this....
Your mission is to look at the picture of the fireplace below and help us design a new mantle.  I tried to send it to your email address but it came back to me.  It must be an old one.

    Mother's Day Movie Madness Week

This week I decided to take a bunch of videos of everything.  If you watch you get to see Jack's first steps!  Oh, and the video is 15 minutes long so be prepared.

    End of April

We had a fun week.  We played baseball.  We put up a new porch swing.  We went to see the the ducklings at the store.  We made messes.  We drove gocarts.  We rode scooters.  We had Mac N Cheese.

    April 16-22

This week while Melissa was working on the yard the neighbor kids came over to play.  Eli had fun with them running around and hitting a baseball.

Jack loves to blow kisses and say MMMMMMMMMWWWAAAAA!!

This week I went to a conference for work with my dad.  It was Thursday and Friday and we stayed over night in Kokomo, IN.  I always hate being away from  Melissa and the kids but I had fun with my dad.

Melissa got a fun package from her family this week.  I am looking forward to putting Vista on our computer.  Thanks Brad!

The boys love to blow bubbles.  This is a picture of Melissa with the boys swatting the bubbles out of the air.  Eli's train tried to eat on of them.

On Saturday there was a primary activity.  They had a magician come in and do tricks for the kids.  He turned a balloon into a rabbit and pulled a giant straw out of a McDonalds bag.

I got down to 206 this week.

Melissa did a lesson on temple marriage for her lesson with the young women.  She decorated the room like it was a wedding reception.

On Sunday we went over to Nona and Popa's house.  Eli, Popa, and I went out on the gocart with my rc plane that I got for Christmas and flew it out in the feild by the lake.

    Clint's Phone Melissa's B-Day week

This week was Melissa's Birthday Week!  It hailed on her birthday.  Eli thought it was neat.  I have been taking a scuba class on Wednesdays so I had to be gone during dinner time on Melissa's happy day so we went out to dessert.  This is a picture of Jack eating a lemon from my water.  He loved it.

Eli and I went to Radio Shak and they had a big robot.  I think he was a little scared of it.

Melissa shared a little birthday party with our friends little boy.

Melissa is potty training Eli and he is getting pretty good at going potty on the big boy potty.

I have been trying to make myself less fat.  My goal it to lose three pounds a week.  I started at 235 and I'm down to 209.

They are working on the roads and sidewalks in our neighborhood.  We went on a walk today so Eli and Jack could see the excavators.

    Easter Week on the Phone

It has been a fun week!  Melissa has continued to do work on the yard.  I had fun mounting a kid's bike seat on the back of one of our electric scooters.  Jack wasn't sure if he liked it.

On Friday we had a big Easter Egg Hunt with everyone from church.  We had breakfast with everyone before hand and then sent the kids out in waves.  It was a cold day to be outside but the kids didn't seem to mind.  Last year Eli just sat down at each egg and ate the candy but this year he had it figured out.  Jack likes to throw the eggs and say CATCH!

Last week Melissa saw a squirrel climbing into the chimney so she sent me up on to the roof to make sure they couldn't get back in.  I had to wire it shut and decided to take a few shots while I was up there.

Melissa has been working hard on fixing up the nook under the stairs so the boys can play in it.  She painted it with a fun oriental theme with bamboo, trees, clouds, and a rhino.  We put the boy's Easter baskets down there for them to find.

I have noticed that Eli and Jack play together more now.  I found Eli showing Jack the toy barn with his arm around him.  It was so cute!

On Sunday we painted Easter Eggs!  Jack tried to eat the dye and Eli put his hand all the way in.

    This Week's Camera Phone Shots

Melissa continues to make fun new recipies for us to eat.  Now it is a disappointment when we have to go out to eat.  Her food is so much better.  Hurray Melissa!

Jack and Eli love to play in the sand box.  The attached pictures are from when Jack climbed in falling head first into the sand.  I'm not sure Eli likes to share the space but it is nice for him to have Jack to throw sand at.

This week on a lunch break we went to Inland Aquatics.  It is a fish store that has lots of fun tanks.  They have a self sustaining tank with waves and live coral and everything.  The boys got a kick out of a fish that came up to the surface and started spitting mouthfulls of water at us.  It was great!

Melissa has been working on the yard this week.  She put in some new plants, including a new tree.  I helped her put up new lattice work on the fence in back. The boys loved playing in the dirt and being outside.

When we were outside Eli and I spotted an excavator driving through the neighborhood and we chased it down on the electric scooter.

On Saturday we went over to my parent's house to watch conference.  We also went out on the gocart.  Jack loves to go fast.  Eli had fun throwing rocks and dirt into the pond and Melissa found some fun rocks to put in our yard.

    Lunchtime 03-09-07

The boys and I have fun on Sundays making treats (a tradition borrowed from the Bakers).  This last Sunday we made sugar cookie trains with lots frosting and lots of sprinkles.  Eli did a good job of cracking the egg and stirring.  Jack likes to make noise with the pots.

    Lunchtime Update

I am going to start writing a little blurb during my lunch breaks.

Things are going well in the Griffin household.  Eli still loves planes, trains, and rocket ships.  His new favorite movie is Pooh's Huffalump Movie.  Jack is learning to crawl(you can find the video on this site).  Melissa has a pretty new hair cut.  She is a red head now.  Melissa is having fun setting up a photography studio in our home.  Eli just had his third birthday and Jack will be one on St. Patrick's Day!
